Dear Families and Caregivers,
We are reaching out with care and concern about a wildfire that started yesterday on the WestSide and on the anniversary of the 2021 Lytton Creek Fire. This is a difficult and emotional time for many. Please know you are not alone.
Babies, toddlers, children and youth may feel scared, anxious, or unsure. As parents, caregivers, and extended family, your support and reassurance mean everything during times like this.
We encourage you to gently check in with your children and youth. Let them know it’s okay to talk about their feelings. Simple messages like “you are safe,” “you are not alone,” and “we are here together” can go a long way.
