Myofascial Release is a hands on technique which provides sustained pressure into tissue restrictions to eliminate pain, headaches and to restore motion. Each part of the entire body is connected to every other part by the fascia, like the yarn in a sweater. When we experience physical trauma or inflammation the fascia loses its flexibility. It becomes tight and can exert excessive pressure producing pain, headaches and/or restriction of motion. The goal of myofascial release is to return the individual to a pain free, active lifestyle.

This is pretty good.
Please keep in mind you don't need to "exercise" everyday, you need to move your body and all of its parts through their full range everyday.
That doesn't necessarily mean cardio exercise or strength training or even what most consider yoga (although YIN yoga is a fascial yoga that is phenomenal for myofascial Release).
You can do some gentle myofascial release stretching everyday to change the fascia and create space inside your body. You'll feel lighter and more supple.

And of course we know to the treat the fascia we use gentle, sustained stretch or compression into fascial restrictions.
