It has been a LONG winter. ❄️ And while I'm happy for the environmental benefits of that....cabin fever has reached a peak and I have decided, weather cooperating or not, I'm getting on with spring. 🌈
I've brought the last of my firewood into the house. It was really heavy and I had to pick it up off the floor and the back of my tilting woodshed.
I've vacuumed my car. (Amazing difference!) 🏎️
I've started cleaning out the shed that I used as a second chicken house. (Chickens are extremely dusty creatures, and sawdust is heavy when it's been compacted and you have to throw a big bag of it into the compost bin). 🏋️♀️
Why am I telling you this?
Because I bet you're starting to do these activities too. Or those that require you to use your body in ways that have been dormant these past months!
And-
Because my body has been reminding me that I have to warm up slowly, and stretch once in a while, and not get too excited and start digging or heavy raking or building something without letting my body wake up from a long winter of sloth.
Be kind to yourself out there! Take it really S*L*O*W*L*Y.
💚
