It's that time of year again, Our residents are collecting treats to make fun goodie bags to give out on Halloween to the little goblins and ghouls.
The more treats, the bigger the bags!
All treats must be prepackaged and sealed, unfortunately we can't take any baked or unsealed/loose treats.
If a business needs a donation letter please reach out the Recreation Team or Front desk, we would be happy to supply one.

Today we had our first small baking group. 🍪 We started with Peanut Butter cookies. 🥜 We mixed, scopped, baked and ate all with a cup of tea ☕ and some wonderful conversation. In the residents words, "Those were delicious" 😋 Brainstorming on the next month's class had lots of great ideas.

Kate, our stylist, always makes our residents look great, but today, two of them really wowed us after leaving her chair. Donna's rocking purple curls, and Rae went from long and curly to a short, sleek bob.
You both look amazing! 💜

We are pleased to extend a warm welcome to our new volunteer, Rhonda.

Rhonda spent the past week engaging with our residents, leading sessions on Wheelchair Yoga. These sessions incorporated guided breathing exercises and gentle movements, fostering a fun and engaging environment for physical activity.

The sessions concluded with a dance party, during which our residents showcased some truly impressive dance moves.

Our residents were walking 🚶, rolling 🧑‍🦽 and strolling 🧑‍🦯 this week,
In honour of Terry Fox 🍁 We turned up our favorite playlist 🎶 and enjoyed getting up and being active.

Fostering Community - Wednesday, September 24, 1:30 - 3:30PM at the St. Stephen's Community Centre, 54 Regent Street in Chester.

Fostering Community is an event by the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, providing education on dementia-related topics, including the importance of community connections. This event will showcase resources in and around our community to support those living with dementia.

There will be three guest speakers sharing their lived experiences speaking about their connections and support in our community, which was a highlight of last year's event!

The following exhibitors will be available from 1:30 - 2:30PM and after the 2:30PM presentation is finished:
