New Treatment Available - Acupuncture

I'm happy to announce that I am now certified to provide acupuncture treatments!

It will be available to book ONLY Acupuncture as well as Acupuncture AND physiotherapy/dry needling together.

Hi Everyone!

It's been so wonderful to see so many faces again.

I get many questions about my practice and myself. So here's a few facts about me and Aktiv Physio:

✨️ I am trained in Connect Therapy and the Thoracic Ring Approach. It is a whole body approach to physiotherapy and how everything in the body is connected

✨️My favourite food is Cheese (any and every kind!)

✨️ I knew I wanted to be a physiotherapist since I was 5 years old

✨️ I grew up on a cattle and grain family farm near Waseca

✨️I am a lifelong athlete. From hockey to volleyball to basketball to crossfit to track and field and running a marathon. Up next - stay tuned 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

✨️ I am an open water scuba diver

✨️Aktiv Physio was developed with a passion for being active for life. Whatever active means to you, I want to help you to stay moving for life

Happy New Year!

Reminder that I am back to work, but only a few days per month. To make sure I can see everyone in a timely matter, my online booking is not currently open. You can still add yourself to my waitlist through my website and we'll contact you as soon as I have an opening.

The question you've all been wondering - when am I coming back to work?

I'm using this season to be present with my son and family, practicing saying 'no' to things that don't feel right and healing my own body and mind postpartum.

When I come back, I want/need to be able to show up with all my energy and focus for my clients and myself.

So here's where I'll start:
-I have a small amount of availability starting in the next month and new year
-I will be opening a few spots a couple times a month to see clients.
-These times will be posted on my online booking site through my website.
-To book an appointment or to be added to my waitlist, email or call my assistant Sanam (leave a voicemail, 306-307-5883, info@aktivphysio21.com)

Due to my limited availability, I won't be accepting new clients until some time in the new year.

Thank you for being patient with me during this season of change and growth. I miss connecting with you all.

September is flying by!

After a hot, busy summer, I had a full intentions of starting the walks again. But somehow we are near the end of September already.

So I'm going to do one more walk (weather permitting) next Tuesday (24th) or Thursday (26th) at 10am. If either day works for you, comment or send me a message.

Happy August!

I figured it was time for an update since our little guy is somehow 5 months old already. I'm LOVING all my time with Cohen and my family.

I WILL be returning to work in a few months with a LIMITED capacity. All details about my return to clinic date will be posted here.

Hi Everyone!

Yes, I am still on maternity leave. Cohen and I are doing well and loving our time together. More updates to come this fall.

In the meantime, I'm a new mom who loves getting outdoors with my son for physical activity, fresh air and social interaction. I understand the challenge of making time for yourself and getting out of the house with your child.

For the month of June, I will be at Delfrari Park in Maidstone once a week walking with my son with any other moms interested in joining. This is for anyone looking for fresh air, physical activity or just to talk to other moms.

If there's interest, we may extend through the summer
