You’re invited to join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you can make a pair of Birch Bark Beaded Earings inspired by traditional beadwork techniques. This craft is simple, relaxing, and a great way to express your creativity.

All materials are provided—no experience needed. Come bead alongside community members and enjoy a welcoming space to learn, create, and connect.

As part of our time together, we encourage respectful dialogue around truth and reconciliation, helping us learn from one another and honour the cultures and histories that inspire this workshop.

I was recently asked to facilitate a full day of “ cultural awareness “ in a nearby community and when I gave my rate, I was told it was too expensive “ we don’t have a budget for that, is there any way we can cut the cost?” I respectfully declined.

Let’s be clear: this work didn’t come overnight.
It comes from years of learning, investing in my education, sitting with Elders, practicing, building a business, and carrying responsibility for what I teach.

There’s a pattern where Indigenous educators are expected to give everything—our time, our knowledge, our medicine—at a discount or for free. And when we don’t, we’re made to feel like we’re asking for too much. ** Don’t lower your rates for anyone, there will be people who are more than willing to pay the price for the right teaching or sessions. Trust the process.

I won’t shrink my value to make others comfortable. Respect for this work includes fair exchange.

My teachings are deeply rooted in culture, lived experience, and accountability—and that has value. I have value and that’s ok to say !

Ohhhhhhh getting closer!

I didn’t get sober by quitting.
I got sober by reconnecting.

I went back to herbal medicine when I put substances down.
I went back to the land.
I went back to who I am.

Our culture isn’t just tradition—it’s survival.
And for me, it became my medicine.

Yesterday I closed the doors to my physical space.

And I won’t lie… it was emotional.

That little shop held so many stories—healing, laughter, hard days, powerful conversations, medicine shared, and community built. Every corner of that shop witnessed growth… not just for my business, but for me as a person.

But as I stood there, I knew something deep in my spirit:

✨ I’m meant for more than these four walls. ✨

This isn’t an ending—it’s an expansion.

Métis Medicine was never meant to stay in one place. It’s meant to travel. To reach communities. To be on the land. To offer ceremony, teaching, retreats, and connection in a bigger way.

So I’m choosing to trust that.

I’m choosing to walk forward with faith, even when it’s a little scary.

Because I know this:
What I’m building now… will be bigger than anything that space could have held.

Thank you to everyone who walked through those doors and supported me. You are part of this journey, always.

This next chapter is going to be powerful. 🌿🔥
