Freedom in Motion Equine & Canine Massage Therapy

Freedom in Motion Equine & Canine Massage Therapy Specializing in Sports, Rehabilitation, and Relaxation Massage Therapy for Equines, Canines and even Felines.

I have more than 25 years of experience as a successful equestrian in the hunter/jumper world, as a Tellington Ttouch Practitioner and more recently, as a graduate of the Equine Massage Therapy Program at Trios College/D’Arcy Lane, in London, Ontario. There I received, with Distinction, a Diploma in Equine Massage Therapy. My diploma has further deepened my knowledge and education. With more than 1,200 hours of hands-on and in-class training, I received extensive instruction in the physiology, anatomy, pathogenesis, behaviour, confirmation, and kinesiology of horses. I studied theory and technique for massage, hydrotherapies, remedial exercises, joint range of motion, stretching, gait analysis, muscular, tendon, ligament, joint, bone, and neurological conditions for equines and the best way to treat these conditions with massage therapy. The manipulations and conditions that I treat are similar for a broad spectrum of animals including canines, felines, and even rabbits with alterations for each client as necessary. My schooling is considered the most in-depth equine massage therapy training program in North America. I have also written my Board Exam’s, through the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists. With this recognition, after completing my “externship hours”, I will become a Registered Equine Massage Therapist. This is the highest acknowledged accreditation for Equine Massage Therapy in the world.
