Bumblebee Breath (also known as Bhramari Pranayama) is a simple yet powerful breathing technique that can be especially calming for kids.

How to practice it: Inhale through the nose, plug your ears and close your eyes. Exhale with a humming sound. Listen and feel the vibration in your head. Repeat two more times.

July is here! In a few days I will leave for France to walk the Camino Frances again. I’m so excited. I cannot take as much time away so I will only be able to walk half of it. I’m excited and curious to see what this Camino will bring.

Often during relaxation we practice a kindness meditation. We practice being kind to ourselves, to those we care about, to those we do not know and to all the living creatures (winged, 4 legged, rooted, crawlers etc) on our wonderful Mother Earth.

Join us for a unique hands-on beading workshop led by Cheyenne, a talented artist and proud member of the Katzie First Nation. In this session, you’ll learn the traditional art of transforming fish bones into beautiful, handcrafted beads, utilizing sustainable food harvesting practices that have been used by Indigenous peoples since time immemorial.

Cheyenne will guide you through the process of repurposing salmon vertebrae into handcrafted beads, while also cooking up the salmon for participants to try. Throughout the workshop, Cheyenne will share cultural teachings and introduce elements of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language, offering a meaningful connection to Indigenous knowledge and artistry. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced craftsperson, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to connect with Indigenous traditions and create your own meaningful piece of art.

All beading materials and light refreshments will be provided. Each person will craft their own pair of earrings. Come ready to learn, create, and connect!
