✨What's Cataphoresis?✨

Cataphoresis is a professional post treatment technique used to calm the skin and accelerate healing. While electrolysis uses electricity to destroy hair follicles, cataphoresis uses electricity to repair the temporary trauma caused by the procedure. It involves applying a mild positive current to the treated area using a stainless steel roller, and gently pushing soothing gels into the skin.

Happy Summer Y'all! Our clinic will be closed for some vacation time July 28th - August 4th, reopening Tuesday August 5th. Please plan your appointments accordingly.

Remember, protecting your skin from the sun and staying hydrated will facilitate your electrolysis treatment success. So drink lots of water and use that SPF 🌞. Hydrated skin tolerates the treatments better and promotes fast healing too!

CEMCOR offers evidence based information on menstrual cycles, hormones, menopause, and ovulation, and is run by researchers, physicians, and support staff out of UBC Vancouver. Check them out, learn, and if you feel so inclined, donate your time to one of their studies.

Tamara Stockli of Helen's Electrolysis has been an incredible mentor and support to the owner and founder of Ampere Electrolysis, Sami. She is one of the kindest souls alive and probably the fastest electrologist in Metro Vancouver, with 40 years experience in the industry. Sami was lucky enough to complete her practical hours with Tammi at her clinic in New Westminster and worked for Tammi after completing her schooling. Thank you Helen's Electrolysis and Tammi for everything you do for your clients, in the community, and for us at Ampere Electrolysis 💖🙏🏼🥰.

Electrolysis works, permanently! It requires several sessions to target different hairs in different hair growth cycles however, so the results will not be immediate. Keeping your regularly scheduled appointments will ensure faster progress towards your end result.

Did you know coarse, dark hair will actually grow at a faster rate than thin, fine, light hair? So if we are working on finer hair you may need to come less often for treatments, whereas for thicker hair we often see clients weekly until all of the hairs have emerged for treatment.
