It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we have a little support…

Sometimes it’s the knowing that you are not alone…or that someone is a telephone call away to provide support without judgement.

Jojo has always been a big supporter of me in the barn!
Need a cuddle?
She is there for me!
Just don’t feed her the chalky, peppermint equine treats…they are not her favourite and she may get extra boisterous 😂 so hugs turn into wrestling matches.

Keep moving…it’s March!

Wednesdays are Luke days which means he gets special treatment such as a walk, extra grooming or some mindful activities.

It was wet today and no one wanted to be outside.

So here we are…just hoofing down the street.

Spring Hope Day Retreat-March 21, 2026 in Maple Ridge, BC

The Spring Equinox holds a balance of light and dark. These polar opposites are woven into the fabric of our existence. As human beings we must cultivate our capacity to hold both within.

The arrival of Spring also gently lifts our spirit, brings a sense of possibility, as we tend to experience more physical and mental energy after the heaviness of winter all topped with a desire to start fresh!

This day long intimate retreat is designed to invite you into a balanced state where you can reflect on the spiritual attributes of—Hope, Faith and Courage.

We will create the conditions to plant powerful seeds of intention and make space for these powerful regenerative energies.

Join us to welcome Spring with gentle movement, mindful moments in nature, soulful writing, heart-centred connection with the horses Jack and Luke and connect your mind, body and spirit to Spring by wrapping up the day with a mystical, serene sound bath.

⚡️Often people ask if owning horses is expensive…that’s kind of a trick question. It all depends on the horses that you own. I have been lucky to own generally smart and sane horses. Which means they avoid doing dumb stuff which means their risk of injury is lower…though not no injuries. So the vet bills are lower.

⚡️Occasionally, smart, sane and spirited come together. The first horse was Sunny and Luke is the second one I have owned.

⚡️Horse dumb stuff is always done either in the evening, weekends or holidays and usually in the dark…so vet visits are even more expensive!😜. I swear that horses have a manual on their owners and this is chapter 1 😜

⚡️Notice how he walks on top of a 4 foot ledge that is a little slippery 🤦🏼‍♀️. So many questions…like Why…I could go on…

⚡️It seems he enjoys playing with my energy as he is noticing my blood pressure going up (true story! Check out the research by the Institute of Heart Math in California!) as I am persuading him to get off said wall.

⚡️Oh Luke!!!

⚡️Fortunately today (so far), there will be no emergency vet visit.
