❌ What most people think: 

“You need to sit perfectly straight all day to avoid pain.” 

✅ What’s actually true: 

There is no single perfect posture. 

The real problem isn’t bad posture — it’s staying in one position for too long. 

👉 Even “perfect” posture becomes difficult if you hold it for hours. 

🧠 Why this matters: 

Your body is designed for movement, not stillness. 

When you stay in one position: 
• Blood flow decreases 
• Muscles fatigue 
• Joints stiffen 
• Your brain increases discomfort signals 

So your body creates pain to say: 
“Hey… move.” 

⚠️ The trap people fall into: 

They force themselves into a rigid upright posture like a robot 🤖 

🔑 What actually works better: 

1. Change positions often (every 20–30
min) 

2. Sit in a variety of postures (yes, even slouching sometimes) 

3. Add small movements: 
• Neck rolls 
• Standing breaks 
• Walking

👀Your body doesn’t need more flexibility- it needs more support 🔥 

“Most people think they’re tight… but they’re  
actually weak” 

“I like to explain this like an old elastic band or your favourite pair of jeans.” 

When it’s new → strong, supportive, holds shape 
Over time → stretched out, loose, less supportive 

👉 Your muscles are the same. 

“Most people come in and say they feel tight, so they keep stretching. Many can even touch their toes! 

But what I usually find is that those muscles aren’t actually ‘short’… they’re overworked and weak.” 

“Your body tightens muscles to protect an area that feels unstable. 

So that ‘tightness’ you feel? It’s your body trying to hold things together.” 

Stretching = temporary relief 
It reduces tension for a bit 

But it doesn’t fix the root problem 

👉 “It’s like loosening something that’s already struggling to hold on.” 

“Instead of just loosening everything, we need to teach your body how to support itself again.” 

Strength = stability 

Stability = less need for “protective tightness” 

Less tightness = less pain 

👉 “When your body feels strong and stable, it doesn’t need to stay tense all the time.”
