✨ Yesterday, something truly heartwarming happened at the clinic 💛

After her eye exam 👁️, one of our little patients quietly handed us these adorable handmade treats 🦄💝. It was such a thoughtful and sweet surprise that truly touched our hearts.

🌟 Atticus’ Story: Supporting CALIPER 🌟

We’re so proud of Dr. Rosina Cheung’s son, Atticus, who recently donated blood to the CALIPER Programme! 🩸 His small act of kindness is helping shape the future of pediatric healthcare.

What’s CALIPER?
The Canadian Laboratory Initiative for Paediatric Reference Intervals (CALIPER), created by SickKids, collects “normal” blood test data from healthy kids. This data helps doctors:
✅ Diagnose children more accurately
✅ Reduce unnecessary invasive tests
✅ Ensure every child gets care tailored to their age and growth

Why It Matters?
Before CALIPER, many pediatric tests relied on adult data—leading to possible misdiagnoses. With over 10,000 children contributing to the program, CALIPER now provides accurate, diverse, and representative reference intervals for kids. 🌍

When asked about donating, Atticus said:
“It’s cool to know I’m helping other kids!” 💙
