** Important information regarding patient care hours Friday March 22 2024**

We are sharing the following information about a COMPLETE OFFICE CLOSURE on Friday, March 22, 2024.

We will be upgrading our Electronic Medical Record system to provide increased security and reliability, along with enhanced functions that will improve patient care. We are also upgrading our telephone system to be more user-friendly, and to shorten wait-times.

To allow for this system upgrade, the Markham Family Health Team will be completely closed on March 22 – there will be no appointments (in person or virtual) and no telephone access to the office.

This is a time of significant change in the healthcare landscape, and we are excited at Markham Family Health Team to be embarking on a renewal of our strategic plan. The strategic plan will help us set our priorities for the next few years to ensure our work aligns with your needs. We value your feedback and invite you to work with us in shaping our organization's direction.

We are holding two focus groups to be held on November 17th from 2:00-4:30 pm or 6:00-8:30 pm.

Registration for this event will be on a first come first serve basis. Please indicate your interest in participating no later than 5 pm Friday, November 11th by email to carly.holmes@markhamfht.com with your first and last name and which session you would like to attend.

Please note that these will be in person sessions to be held at the Cornell Community Center at 3201 Bur Oak Avenue.

Flu clinics begin Oct 17 and there are PLENTY of appointments available for online booking if you choose Immunization Clinic B or C!! (A, B, C are all the same, they just allow for multiple spots to book!) If you are a patient at Markham FHT, we hope to see you Oct 17 - Nov 11 for our annual seasonal flu clinics :)

2021 Flu Shot clinics are officially underway! Patients of Markham FHT can book online (use "get your flu shot" icon) or call the office. Clinics run Mon-Thurs evenings, all day Wed, and Fri afternoons Oct 18-Nov 12. You must have a booked appt. All flu clinics run from our Cornell location. Be wise - Immunize!

We are happy to announce that we are extending our very popular flu clinics for one more week! Fortunately, we have received more flu vaccine from York Region Public Health and can now offer 4 more evenings of flu clinics starting the week of Nov 16 and running nightly at our CORNELL location 5:30 - 7:45pm until Thurs Nov 19. You can book your flu shot appointment online or call 905.471.9999. Please note that due to overwhelming interest in flu shots, increased wait time on the phone may occur. Online booking is quick and easy! You must be a patient of Markham FHT to access the clinic. High dose flu vaccine for seniors available while quantities last.
