Was honoured to be invited as this year’s guest lecturer for the Clinical Acupuncture CE program at CMCC. Quite tiring when you teach a workshop in an auditorium (non clinical space) where students are not suppose to needle. Normally I get to take a break between lectures as students do their practice on each other. Instead I lectured and demonstrated for 7 hours continuously. It felt like giving a 2 day workshop in only a single day. My Lung Qi was definitely getting deficient by 3pm. Nevertheless, I always give 200% in my workshops. We covered lots of classical passages from the HDNJ, balancing East-West perspective, and demonstrated treating orthopedic, nerve entrapment and Stroke rehabilitation. Cant’ complain, I Love what I do, pushing the envelope, advancing the art and winning respect for Chinese medicine among other allied health professionals.

Our therapist Poney Chiang R.Ac RTCMP, just returned from Kansas City where he taught medical doctors at the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, how to treat carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow etc.

This year’s presentation and workshop at American Academy of Medical Acupuncture was enthusiastically received. Judging from the inquiries about my CEU teaching, I think it’s safe to say that I’ve won over a few MDs who will be coming up to Toronto to take the York Acu program with me.
