🌿 If you feel sadness, anger, frustration or disappointment, it is important to find a way to express those emotions safely. It doesn't mean that you have to stay in that emotional state for a long time, but you need to find time when you can truly express how you feel.

🌿 Many physical symptoms arise because emotions are suppressed or held-in, not because they are felt.

📚 Reflection:
✏️ Have you looked at the “truth” of your emotions?
✏️ Have you stopped to reflect on how much your psychological state influences your health?
✏️ What can you do today to help support your psychological health?

🌊 Staying hydrated in the cooler months can be tricky as we don’t usually feel like a big glass of cold water. It is important to stay hydrated to support the immune system, avoid dry skin, and help maintain energy levels among other functions of the body.

🌊 So how can you make sure you are drinking enough, even when you don’t want water in the fall and winter? Read the slides and let us know which is your favourite!

🌊 Reminder, drink about 1/2 your body weight in ounces a day.

In autumn, due to the rapid changes in temperature and climate, many people find that their physical ailments are aggravated. Changing your diet so that it is more suited to the changes in temperature can help to prevent many symptoms.

🍂 The autumn diet regimen should avoid cold foods such as raw salad, cold drinks and food directly from the fridge. It is also important to avoid a lot of dry food and fried foods. Warm foods, like soup or porridge, are the better choice in the fall.”

🌿 Most forms of treatment can be used to palliate.

🌿 For example anti-inflammatory herbs to decrease pain or a homeopathic remedy to remove the intensity of anxiety or body work to aid in relaxation.

🌿 The disadvantages to palliation are that when the discomfort is lessened a client can ignore the messages and avoid making the necessary changes.

🌿 When symptoms are palliated and not followed by the changes that are needed the signs and symptoms often return with even a stronger intensity.

EMFs or electromagnetic fields can come from many household items, including but not limited to:

🛜 Wifi
🛜 Electrical wiring & power cords
🛜 Fluorescent / compact fluorescent
🛜 Poorly grounded electrical system
🛜 Bedside lamps & clocks
🛜 Electric blankets
🛜 Computers, monitors & TVs
🛜 High current appliances such as hair dryers, heaters, microwaves & ovens
🛜 Cell phones
🛜 Microwave ovens
🛜 Most treadmills & furnaces
🛜 Nearby neighbour’s activities can also affect your own home.

These fields have effects on our health & wellbeing. Here are some, but not all, symptoms that can be caused from EMF exposure:

⚡NEUROLOGICAL: headaches, dizziness, fatigue
⚡RESPIRATORY / IMMUNE: increased risk of allergies & weakened immune system
⚡CARDIOVASCULAR: low / high blood pressure
⚡METABOLIC: digestive problems
⚡COGNITIVE: difficulty concentrating, problems with memory
⚡OTHER: disturbed sleep, numbness, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances

🌊 Without sufficient water on a regular basis the body soon becomes dehydrated. This affects energy, health and longevity.

🍂 We are constantly interacting with our environment, and it affects our health. As we move into the colder months it is a great time to reflect on how the weather, temperature, air quality, sunlight, and other things in our environment, change how we experience our psychological, functional and structural health. The season can influence our decisions in clothing, activities, food, amount of movement & screen time, hydration, who we see and more.

🍂 Fall and winter are great times to reflect, here are some prompts:
❓What environmental factors really affect your wellbeing (good or bad)?
❓ What changes would you make in your environment in support of your health?
