Community. Compassion. Preparedness. ❤️

We’re incredibly honoured to recognize the generosity of Mat and Deb Renda for donating an AED to the Town of Minden.

Their decision to give back comes from a deeply personal place. With both Deb’s mother and Mat’s father having suffered heart attacks, they understand firsthand how critical immediate emergency response can be in life-threatening moments.

For Mat and Deb, this donation is also a meaningful way to honour Deb’s parents and help ensure life-saving support is available close to home for their community.

As Jim Colson shared, he has personally witnessed the power of an AED after seeing a friend revived by a portable defibrillator following sudden cardiac arrest — a moment that inspired him to purchase one for his own cottage as well.

Stories like these are powerful reminders that accessible AEDs truly save lives. Every minute matters during a cardiac emergency, and having an AED nearby can make all the difference while waiting for first responders to arrive.

Thank you again to Mat and Deb for helping make the community safer and for showing what it means to lead with generosity and heart. 👏

We’re hitting the road again 🚧

On May 13th, Rescue 7 will be attending the Toronto Construction Association Members Day—connecting with industry leaders and supporting safer job sites across Ontario.

We’ll be showcasing our AED Construction Package, designed to help companies stay compliant with Bill 30, a new mandate requiring AEDs on construction sites with 20+ workers that operate for 3 months or longer.

This isn’t just about compliance—it’s about being prepared when every second counts.

If you’re attending, come by and talk to our team about how to protect your crew and meet new safety requirements with confidence.
