What Are the Benefits of Seal Oil?

Seal oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which have various benefits for human beings. A deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids in your diet can lead to heart and cardiovascular disease and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. High Blood Pressure

A Closer Look at Fish Oils

Fish oils as natural triglycerides claim up to 30% omega-3 EPA & DHA with no or insignificant amounts of DPA. Today, fish oils have increased from the natural triglyceride (up to 30%) to astronomical numbers of omega-3, some as high as 90%. No combination of fish exists that would meet modern claims, so how are these numbers being achieved?
Modern fish oils are manufactured using chemicals to isolate the omega-3 from the rest of the oil. More chemicals are then used to increase the percentage of omega-3. This type of fish oil is an ethyl ester or "concentrate". Some fish oils use more chemicals to reengineer the oil back to its triglyceride form. This type of fish oil is a reengineered triglyceride.

Omega-3 Structure
The structure of omega-3 is important because it helps determine how fast it is absorbed by the body. There are three main structures of omega-3.

1. Natural triglyceride - the natural and pure option
2. Ethyl ester - a chemically altered triglyceride
3. Reengineered triglyceride - an ethyl ester chemically altered to become a triglyceride.

Most omega-3 fish sources begin as a natural triglyceride but are chemically altered to yield more omega-3. The purity of the natural omega-3 structure is sacrificed for the convenience of taking fewer capsules.
