Meet Tony. Tony is a part of our transfer team at Martens Warman & Cherished Memories.
Tony brings a lifetime of service, strength, and leadership to our funeral home family.
“After dedicating 32.5 years to the fire service, he retired in January 2020 as a Captain. Throughout his career, he served on the Dive Team, High Angle Team, and as an EMT, always ready to step into challenging situations with courage and calm. His commitment to serving others has been a defining thread throughout his life.
In addition to his fire service career, Tony has worked with Safeway, Northern Telecom, University Maintenance, plumbing, and even building passenger elevators. No matter the role, he has always been hands-on, hardworking, and dedicated. He also earned his 1st Degree Black Belt at Kees Taekwondo, a reflection of his discipline and determination.
In March 2023, Tony began his journey with the funeral homes, continuing his lifelong calling of caring for others. He finds it incredibly rewarding to help families through one of the most difficult times in their lives, ensuring their loved ones are treated with dignity and respect. He often says that being part of the Martens team is a blessing “the best dang crew and family ever!”
One quote that resonates deeply with Tony is:
“Death smiles at us all; all a man can do is smile back.” 🙏
It reflects both his courage and his steady outlook on life.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys staying active at the gym, riding his Harley Davidson Road King, hiking, and embracing some good old-fashioned relaxation. At the heart of everything he does is his family, he has been married to his wife for 42 wonderful years.
As for his bucket list? Tony keeps it simple and heartfelt: world peace… and living happily ever after.
Thank you Tony for your dedication, advice and meaningful chats!
