At over 160 years old this house has a LOT of history. The barn once housed the general store where you could buy everything from animal feed to fabrics. Many men have already told me they bought their first suit here :) While cleaning up some of the attic Kat found a few pages of the Yarmouth Herald from 1937. If anyone else has any stories about the place, we would love to hear them.

The late bake cookies were average last time. My fault. (left them in the oven for 2 minutes too long). Revisited the recipe but switched it to oversized double chocolate chewy centered goodness :D SOOOOOO DELICIOUS. Pouring myself a glass of milk now as I know there won't be any left for my shift tomorrow!

Late night bake session again. A big plate of homemade oversized chocolate chip cookies. They must have smelled great in the oven because one resident got up at 4 am to ask me what was in the oven. Of course she got an early taste while they were still warm and chewy.

Tonight's late night baking session was a big stack of gooey brownies. Good thing our milk delivery comes at 6:30 am. YUMMY !!!!

We forgot how fun jigsaw puzzles were until we met Prescille :) The teddy bear reading to bunnies is especially cute.

It's been so nice this week that we decided to do some outdoor work. 1 out of 4 decks restained and gardens prepped for some transplanting.

Late night baking session for Saturday. What looks to be a scrumptious brown sugar and cinnamon Apple pie. I hope the residents save me a slice for after I wake up :D

The residents may be sleeping, but that doesn't stop the workday. With our diabetic residents in mind, I just whipped up a batch of low sugar Chocolate muffins with a creamy chocolate frosting :)

Don't tell anyone, but ONE of my secret ingredients is diced apple. I think the residents are really going to enjoy this roast tomorrow.
