It’s a CUBS GAMEDAY! 🏒

This afternoon, your Medicine Hat Cubs finish off their road trip in Ponoka as they face the Ponoka Stampeders for the final time this season.

The Cubs claimed the first game of the season series on January 4th in Medicine Hat with an emphatic 9–2 win. Kyle Woolridge and Connor Chapman each posted a goal and four assists, Jacob Hazzard added four helpers of his own, and Marlo DeRosa was sharp in net, stopping 27 shots in the victory.

Wheatland Kings come back in the Tipsy Trolley 3rd period and take this one in overtime.

Cubs will try to right the ship tomorrow afternoon as we battle the Cochrane Generals, 3:00pm at the Kinplex.

Puck drop is 7:45pm in Strathmore.

Cubs come up just short in Cochrane as they fall to the Generals 3-2 in a shootout.

Both teams were held scoreless in the Tipsy Trolley 3rd period, overtime period and only Gens Tyler Auger would score in a shootout.
Netminder Marlo DeRosa stood tall stopping 36 of 38 General shots and 2 of 3 in the shootout.

We will regroup and focus on next weekend both the Kings and Gens once again with our next game taking place Saturday night in Strathmore.
