If you have known loss in your life
You will also know how much strength it
takes to keep going through the worst times.
There's a feeling of debilitating tiredness
accompanied by pure emptiness that
is hard to overcome.
But somehow you manage to walk on,
through the sorrow and the pain.
It's almost as if you are being pulled
through by an unseen force.
Call it God, or a guardian angel ..
or both, you definitely aren't struggling on alone.
And with time, you start to notice the difference
in the way you are coping.
You feel steadier, and faith gradually starts to
be restored, little by little.
Some days you catch yourself smiling again
or even humming a favourite tune ..
and you begin to realise you made it through,
you survived.
And you give praise for whoever, whatever,
it was that accompanied you on that awful
journey .
And by giving thanks you show your appreciation
for the life you still have left to live.
And you learn to enjoy it in the best way you can..
with the added faith that you are never alone ..
