🚗 Throwback Thursday 🚗

This image from 1912 depicts 12 new Oakland cars lined up on North Railway street.

The 1912 Oakland was a stylish, high-quality vehicle produced by the Oakland Motor Car Company, a founding division of General Motors, known for its “Car with a Conscience” marketing.

They were considered desirable “Brass Era” vehicles, with surviving examples frequently participating in veteran car tours.

Having 12 of these pull up on North Railway Street would have been quite the sight to see in 1912 👀

🌻Staff Pick of the Week (ANDREA’S)🌻

⭐️ Mustard bath brought in by Canadian 🇨🇦 company ⭐️

🫧 A mustard bath is a traditional therapeutic, and aromatic soaking method that combines mustard seed powder with hot water to promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, and induce sweating. Often used as a natural remedy during cold and flu season, it is designed to stimulate circulation and help the body detoxify. 🫧

Andrea swears by it and we think you might love it too! ❤️❤️❤️

👏 Throwback Thursday 👏

Circa 1914 — This photo was taken outside the pharmacy on North Railway Street and captures a powerful moment in local history. The young men pictured are leaving Medicine Hat with the 3rd Canadian Mounted Rifles to enlist and serve in World War I. It marks a significant chapter for Medicine Hat, unfolding right here on North Railway Street.

📣💭Throw back Thursday 💭📣

This image from 1924 is a postcard showing Al Cook’s Barber Shop. Al barbered for 40 years. This building also served at various times in its history as a monuments shop, butcher shop, and a plumbers store. It was situated on North Railway Street, close to where MacKenzie Drugs is now.

This photo amongst others, decorate our pharmacy walls.

We love the history of our little area and hope you do too.

Huge thanks to and their archives team!
