Skincare habits you should ghost👻⬇️

👻 Following DIY skincare/TikTok trends - not everyones skin is the same which means what works for one person may not work for you and could cause more damage than good and who knows if they’re actually using said product to achieve their “perfect” skin as they may be sponsoring something. Instead, follow licensed professionals for skincare advice.

👻 Sleeping in makeup - we’ve all fallen alseep in our makeup at least once but doing this regulalry is just all around bad for your skin and can cause clogged pores, rashes, acne, dull skin and speeds up the aging process.

👻 Skipping double cleansing - Double cleansing is the best way to ensure you are properly removing your makeup and spf from the day. Your 1st cleanse should be oil or cream based to break down makeup, spf and dirt from your skin and your 2nd cleanse should be a cleanser suitable for your skin type to really cleanse and prep your skin for your pm skincare routine.

👻 Using the wrong products for your skin type or skin concerns - making sure you’re using the right products are very important if you have specific concerns because you can cause more damage using the wrong products! For example, if you have oily acne prone skin you should not be using a thick moisturizer than contains shea butter or coconut oils as it can clog pores and produce more breakouts. 👻 Using makeup wipes - makeup wipes dont actually cleanse your skin and can leave makeup and dirt lingering in your pores and contain irritants and fragrances leading to breakouts, rashes, itchy skin and all the tugging can cause premature aging so ditch the makeup wipes and start double cleansing!

👻 Washing your face before brushing your teeth - its important to wash your face last especially if you have sensitive or acne prone skin because sometimes if toothpaste/mouthwash is left on the skin around your mouth it could cause breakouts or rashes such as perioral dermatitis.
