Fèath & Elemi

Fèath & Elemi Specializing in TMJD, emotional health, concussion, and pediatrics. Curious about our business name?? Latin name is Canarium luzonicum.

We are a multi-disciplinary wellness clinic offering a variety of soft tissue therapies including Massage, Bowen, Craniosacral Therapies & Emotional Freedom Technique. Fèath is pronounced like 'feather' without the 'er' and is translated from Gaelic to mean absence of stress; the state of being calm; peacefulness; absence of worry, anger, or fear or other strong negative emotion., which is something we could all use a bit extra of these days. Elemi is one of the essential oils Kristen uses in her essential oil business, B2Pur. It is often used for nervous exhaustion, pulling oneself back together when you feel like falling apart, as an expectorant and for muscle pain and fatigue. Combining these two words perfectly describes what we aim to do- provide you with an opportunity to destress, relax your muscles, and leave feeling a little bit more 'whole' than when you came in ♥

Hitting the gym right after a massage or bodywork session- DON’T! 🛑✋

While your body feels great- muscles are relaxed, circulation increased, and your mood is calm; but it’s not the time to get that pump 💪🏻

Wondering why? Think of your massage like you hit a reset button. Your body needs time to actually process and benefit from it. Jumping straight into a workout can undo ↩️ that work and may even leave you more sore or sensitive.

Instead of heading straight to the gym after a massage or bodywork, support your body with simple things: go for a light walk or gentle stretching, take a warm bath or shower (bonus if you add in Epsom salts), rest of your body feel tired, eat a nourishing and while foods based meal, or take a few minutes for some deep breathing or meditation. Don’t overlook water 💦 consumption either- your muscles need increased hydration post massage 💆🏽.

Give your body 12-24 hours before your next workout and let your treatment do what it’s meant to do!

We hear this frequently➡️ “I feel so much better after my initial treatment, I will call and book in when I get pain again”

We’re sorry to burst your bubble 🫧 but we HAVE to bring light to this. ❤️‍🩹 Healing isn’t a one-and-done appointment.

That first treatment? It can bring relief, but it hasn’t fixed anything- YET! The first treatment quiets the pain and can finally help you exhale 😮‍💨; however, understanding that your body didn’t get here overnight, and it won’t fully unwind in a single treatment is the honest knowledge we all need to hear.

Real, lasting change happens with consistency, with intention and with care over time.

We don’t ask or suggest you come back for a follow-up treatment to fill our schedules. We ask you to return for follow-up because those treatments are where the real work begins- getting to the root, not just chasing the symptoms.

If you’ve been feeling better after your first session imagine how good you could feel if you kept going?!

Your healing deserves more than just a quick fix. It deserves thought, intention, and care- and that’s what we pride ourselves on.

Somewhere along the way, people decided massage had to hurt to work.

Like if you’re not gripping the table and holding your breath… it’s not “therapeutic.”

But that’s a myth.

Therapeutic massage focuses on problem areas, tension, injuries, and mobility.

Relaxation massage focuses on calming your nervous system, reducing stress, and helping your body reset.

Both are powerful.
Both support your body in different ways.
And neither should feel like something you have to survive.

Massage isn’t about proving how much pain you can tolerate.
It’s about helping your body release what it’s been holding onto.

Book the treatment your body’s been asking for. We have practitioners educated and skilled for either one and they are accepting NEW clients!

Call or message us to book or go online at www.feathandelemi.com to book.

Your prescription to full body wellness

Our philosophy at Bodyology is to treat the body as a whole; we look at the bigger picture and not chase pain, or chase symptoms. We let the body be our guide and after a combined 30 years of experience and MANY modalities to draw upon, you are in good hands!

Becky defines health as the presence of energy, joy and relaxation. When these are in tune, the body is vital and healthy. Her vision is to reach as many people as possible, changing attitudes about living a pain-free life and living your best life. She is known as a healer; a guide for helping people find presence, awareness and health with massage, craniosacral therapy, yogic philosophy, and evidence based therapies to find your unique bodyology.

Kristen defines living your best life similarly to Becky, and adds clean wellness products into your daily life in addition to the treatment room. Kristen practices what she preaches living as chemical free as possible. Kristen blends essential oils with B2Pur, endorses Beautycounter, a cosmetic company that develops products to be as safe and clean as possible and uses products that are as chemical free as possible. Her mission is to educate people on the benefits of clean living and giving alternative holistic options and providing educated alternatives to patients. “The body cannot simply be treated as individual parts- they are all connected via the nervous system so that is often the first place to start”.

Together, we are well educated in evidence based therapies, but do it with a holistic approach that is very unique to community.
