Somatic Self-Care & Movement (TRE®)
Are you feeling stuck in fight, flight or freeze mode? Feeling stress, anxiety and burnout? Maybe some adrenal fatigue, imbalanced cortisol and hormones at play?
This class is for you!!
Benefits include: releasing of stored tension and trauma, calms the nervous system, improved emotional resiliency, enhances embodied felt sense awareness, supports better sleep, promotes autonomic nervous system balance, increase window of tolerance, empowers you to feel your sensations are accessable and manageable.
TRE®, Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises, are a simple set of exercises that trigger a natural tremor reflex in the body.
The psychology of trauma is complex, the physiology is relatively simple. In trauma old parts of the brain are fixed in defence cascades of ‘fight-or-flight’ or ‘freeze’.
TRE® is a safe, natural process to re-boot overprotective reflexes.’ This is a great class if you are starting or integrating trauma therapies, particularly if you cannot recall memory, or don't have words to explain what , why or how your'e feeling.
This class is open to anyone and is $25/ hour session covered by benefits. It will run most Tuesdays at 10am-11am.
