This is to help orientate the student with the equipment with the understanding that many sizes and manufacturers of construction equipment exist, and every piece is similar, yet different in controls and sometimes how they handle. True Knowledge and experience are gathered on the job while completing tasks at the worksite. Driver Training Excellence is a main priority, and our instructors have the passion, knowledge, and desire to help all our students. Being one of only four licensed Commercial Driver Training schools south of Calgary we are always busy with New Drivers. Safety Connections is the only provider in Alberta with a contract to offer fully funded Commercial Driver Training for those on Employment Insurance (E.I.). We offer Class 1 MELT, Experience and Equivalency Class 1 MELT, and Class 3 driver training, Air Brakes (Q endorsed), ODA, Load Securement & many other Driver related courses, including Online Defensive Driving, which can reduce Demerits upon a passing mark at completion. While we are an “All Industry Training Provider” with a commitment to serving clients in education, healthcare, construction, agriculture, oil and gas, manufacturing, and transportation and most other industries in-between. Our location in Medicine Hat makes accessing our facilities both convenient and affordable, found within three Medicine Hat City Transit bus routes, while some do have a four-block walk, depending on where you are heading from. Parking is on the street next to the building & a small, shared parking lot to the side. Staff are well-trained to provide high-quality service. Instructors are Certified by Canadian Red Cross, Energy Safety Cananda, Alberta Transportation, Alberta Construction Safety Association, and the Forklift Training Institute of Canada. As well our instructors have been End-Users in the classes they lead. Success is the result of commitment to our Training Standards.
