MOMH is moving again! We are pleased to announce that we will be working out of the Powers & Jans Centre at 737 6th St SE beginning August 1st. It's a lovely home-like environment with a fantastic group of allied health providers already in residence. We're sure you'll love this beautiful new-to-us space!

As birth workers who celebrate bringing babies earthside, it is a somber day of remembrance thinking of the over 4000 children who died within the Indian Residential School system.

Every one of those 4000 children deserved better.

May reconciliation continue in both word and action. 🧡

Following the news out of Calgary regarding the Calgary Midwives Collective and unsafe sterilization practices, we at Midwives of Medicine Hat want to assure you that we only use DISPOSABLE/one time use birth instruments in our practice. This includes needles, clamps, scissors, sutures.

We also sanitize prenatal equipment between clients in clinic.

MOMH will continue to strive to both meet and exceed IPAC standards.

As some may have heard, there is a worldwide shortage of epidural tubing and catheters. This may well impact pain management options for all obstetric clients delivering at Medicine Hat Hospital.

If you are due in the next month your midwife will talk to you in person about pain management options for your specific labour.
