In our society, it’s easy to feel like we “should” be doing more - more work, more chores, more connecting, more walking, more vegetables… more. It can feel never-ending and it wears on our self esteem. But the affirmation for today is to remind us that we are doing our best, even if we feel like we could or “should” be doing more. Sure there is always going to be more things we could add to our To-Do List and sure there are ways we can improve ourselves, but it is also important to recognize that whatever effort we can currently put into all those things is truly good enough. There is not someone marking us on how we live our lives. We don’t need to give 110% of our effort for everything we do for it to be considered “giving it our best.” It’s okay if our best is 90%, 60%, or even 10% on some days. We are doing our best, and our best is good enough.
