Featuring the Yoga for Backs+ class, Wednesday nights at 7:15--

We use soft props and specialized training to address back, posture, and overall moving (and sitting) habits. A lot is done lying down and working on releasing tension, then looking at and strengthening core engagement and improving spinal movement. It's gentle, relaxing, effective, and for all bodies. It is said to be "the" modern yoga, to counteract modern (sitting) lifestyles. It's yoga for life.

If you can get onto the floor once or twice, and get up off the floor once or twice in a class--with some standing or sitting yoga postures in between--you will do fine. If you lift weights and wonder about your movement patterns, or could use more relaxation--you will benefit from the quiet hour spent in this work.

Intro week of yoga--same schedule as I will do for rest of fall, but sign up with a drop-in fee ($20 at studio, $15 at chair yoga) and bring a friend or attend multiple classes that week! Intent is to shake off cobwebs, take it easy, get a feel for the practice (again, or for the first time).

Studio yoga in Melfort for fall---full schedule, including Chair Yoga at the Mall!

Email cindyperrotyoga@gmail.com to register for a class or two per week, or with questions on drop-in options. Check out my website www.cpyoga.ca for information on classes, and a blog "Beginning Again" if starting up seems daunting, written over a Christmas break. "What yoga class should I take?" may also be helpful.

Will have an intro week Sep 8-12 for people to try some classes without registration commitment, shake off some cobwebs before weekly routine yoga, check out my other post!

Drop-in yoga in July! Will be a class in studio at 115 Burrows Ave E (east entrance) on Monday nights, Yoga in the Park Downtown Wednesday noons (at Secret Garden between Home Hardware and Historic Post Office) Taking Canada Day week off, will resume week of July 6.

Book a spot for one class or more at www.cpyoga.ca , or just come by on the good chance there will be room in the quieter summer classes.

A different yoga in the park, with those in mind like me--maybe stuck in the office on a beautiful, summer Wednesday--take a nice walk with your mat, do some yoga outside, take your time getting back---a shortened class to give you lots of time for the before and after.

The secret garden is tucked away, but there will definitely be the sounds of human activity to accompany the practice, for a different experience. Come early or stay late to get more yoga in, and I will move to the studio if it's a rainy day. There is limited room--ensure your spot by booking class on www.cpyoga.ca , or just come by and check it out. Starts July 9!
