This is a very cool thing!!

Naida is asking for help from expectant mothers in Saskatoon with an important study. More Milk Sooner is constantly asked if there is a difference in the makeup of prenatal and postnatal colostrum. The short answer is we do not know. So we partnered with the University of Saskatchewan to design a first of its kind study to look at this question. Moms receive a kit while they are expecting and if possible give a small sample of their prenatal colostrum and then a small sample of their post natal colostrum once baby arrives. Everything is designed to be super simple for participants and done through online communication and we even come to your home to pick up the prenatal sample. We have the most amazing coordinator Karlee who makes the whole process seamless. If you are expecting or know someone who is please consider participating. We need approx 40 more families. I’m teaching a Childbirth Prep class this Saturday and have space for one more couple.

Class will be held in Melfort on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00-5:00, with a break for lunch.

Cost for the class is $200, which includes a workbook and a goodie bag of items you can use during your birth.

Come and learn from an active and experienced Labour Doula who LOVES birth.

🌸 Re-introducing Myself 🌸

Hey everyone! It’s been a while, so I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself and share a bit about who I am. 😊

I’ve lived in Melfort for 19 wonderful years, where I’m lucky to be married to my amazing husband and raising our three kids—the oldest is 20, followed by a 15-year-old and 12-year-old. Our family is completed by two very spoiled cats 🐱 and a senior Basset Hound who keeps us all laughing. 🐾

I’ve been working as a doula for 12 years, guiding and supporting families during one of the most important moments of their lives. I became a Certified Childbirth Educator in 2017, and I absolutely love what I do.

Over the years, I’ve attended births in the Melfort, Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Tisdale hospitals. I’ve been serving families from all over the Northeast, supporting them with knowledge, care, and empathy.

I’m also excited to share that I recently attended my 49th birth as a doula—what a privilege it is to witness the strength, beauty, and power of birth!

Thank you to all the amazing families who have trusted me to be a part of their journey. I can’t wait to continue supporting new families and sharing more with you all in the future!

These are just some of the things I cover in my Childbirth Prep classes. How all of these things can be tools to help you get the birth you’re wanting.

I have one last class running for this year on December 2nd and there is still room!

A comprehensive class for those looking for a positive and personalized learning environment focused on late pregnancy, comfort measures, pain management, and the immediate postpartum period.

What to expect in the class:
- Discuss processes related to the end of your pregnancy
- explore the phases and stages of labor and options for pain management
- information about your specific place of delivery, what you can expect for their staff and support levels
- a workbook for you to keep and use for future reference
- a Mini-Doula bag - a collection of items that I recommend taking to the hospital that help with finding comfort.

Saturday, December 2nd from 10:00-5:00. There will be a break for lunch.

Your investment is $200 for yourself and 1 support person. Arrangements can be made if you have a second support person you’d like to bring.

The class will be held at Allied Chiropractic in Melfort. There are limited spots available, message me to hold your spot!
