Tonight is the last night to get out to the Melville Regional Park, if you want to see the Tour of Lights! See how many of the residents signatures you can count on the gift tag. It is definitely worth the drive. There are so many awesome displays out there! Merry Christmas Everyone!

🎄✨Another busy and beautiful week before Christmas at Cumberland Villas 🎄

We were blessed once again by the Air Cadets, who stopped in to visit, share time with our residents, and deliver the sweetest handmade Christmas cards. Moments like these truly capture the spirit of the season.

Our Christmas Luncheon was a packed house filled with laughter, fellowship, and good food. We were having so much fun connecting that we barely had time to snap photos—and honestly, that says it all. 💙

From our home to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a season filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.

🎄 The Christmas hustle and bustle is in full swing at Cumberland Villas! 🎄
And wow — what a joyful stretch of celebrations we’ve had!

✨ Friday, Dec 5 — We kicked off the weekend with a festive Happy Hour Christmas Concert featuring the wonderful Jackie Guy. Spirits were high and the music was even higher!

🎶 Sunday, Dec 7 — The beautiful Community Choir filled our halls with classic Christmas harmonies, bringing comfort, nostalgia, and a whole lot of smiles.

🎨 Monday, Dec 8 — Our hearts melted as the Grade 4 “Girl Power” group from Davison School joined us for crafts, games, and plenty of giggles. A sweet intergenerational moment we’ll be talking about for a long time.

🎤 Wednesday, Dec 10 — In true Cumberland fashion, our residents pulled off a last-minute Christmas singalong — because when inspiration strikes, we follow! What a fun, joy-filled afternoon.

🎄 And lastly — Thursday night — our residents gathered to craft beautiful centrepieces for our upcoming Christmas luncheon this coming week. Creativity, laughter, and teamwork filled the room. WOW!

It’s been busy, it’s been beautiful, and it’s definitely been Christmas at Cumberland.

🎉🎂 December Birthdays at Cumberland Villas! 🎂🎉

We’re celebrating a full table of milestones this month—10 birthdays in December! What a wonderful way to close out the year.

Our birthday guests looked festive and fabulous, and we couldn’t help but notice… their glasses were almost as cool as our winter temperatures outside 😎❄️.

Smiles, stories, and cake were shared, and once again we were reminded of how rich our community is—every year celebrated is a gift.

🎄✨ It’s definitely been a busy week here at Cumberland Villas — ’tis the season! ✨🎄

We kicked off the week with one of our favourite traditions: our residents decorating the Christmas trees for the facility and every floor. There were laughs, stories, and of course, beautiful ornaments placed with love. 🎁🌟

If you have loved ones or friends here, this is the perfect time to stop by for a visit and take in the cozy holiday atmosphere. Each floor has its own unique touch — and our residents are quite proud of their handiwork!

Christmas season is officially upon us… let the hustle, bustle, and joyful celebrating begin! ❤️🌲

✨ *A Musical Treat at Cumberland Villas!*✨

This past week, we were blessed with a very special visitor — Kennedy Durfy, the granddaughter of one of our residents, visiting all the way from the Cayman Islands! 🇰🇾💛

For three wonderful days, Kennedy filled our home with her beautiful voice and heartfelt songs. From a cozy Thursday evening sing-along, to a lively Happy Hour Friday, and a sweet Ice-Cream Saturday, our residents simply couldn’t get enough. 🎶🍨

Her incredible talent, warm spirit, and joy in sharing her gift made every moment feel magical. 💫

Thank you, Kennedy, for pouring so much love into our community — your music touched every heart here at Cumberland Villas. ❤️

We were delighted to have Jenn and Shelby from the City of Melville join us at Cumberland Villas to help our residents learn about and install the Voyent Alert app.

Their patience, support, and clear guidance made it easy for everyone to get set up — and thanks to them, we’re now officially ‘In-the-know’ when it comes to community alerts, updates, and important notifications.

Our residents truly appreciated the one-on-one help and the friendly conversation. Partnerships like these strengthen our community and help keep everyone safe and connected. 💙

🌱 Supporting Local Childcare!

Today we were pleased to present a donation cheque to Vicki Waldbauer from Away We Grow (Care Inc.), a trusted nonprofit childcare provider in Melville, SK, serving families since 2007.

The funds were raised through our condo owner-run *Mall in the Hall*, where volunteers display donated items for sale, with all proceeds supporting a different local charity regularly.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shopped, and supported this initiative. Your generosity helps make a difference for children and families in our community. 💛🌿
