Hello!

Thought I would share some info about my instruments. At the moment I have five sets of instruments which means I can provide footcare up to five people per day. Before my instruments come into contact with any client, I follow a strict policy & procedure on the processing of each set of instruments.

The intended use of nursing foot care instruments is with intact skin. I work at the level of the epidermis and foot care is non-invasive. That classifies my instruments as non-critical according to the Spaulding Classification System for Medical Instruments. With that being said, when providing footcare there is a risk of entering the sterile space of the dermis. Therefore my instruments are processed as semi-critical using high level of disinfections.

Hey Everyone,

Do you or someone you know require a toe separator or toe splint? If so I can help with that!

I recently completed a master class on how to make silicone devices for clients that meet the proper criteria. These devices are developed from molding putty and are molded to fit your foot! So it is comfortable and made just for you. I am currently offering this service at no extra cost. I will just charge my regular base fee.

Hello Everyone!

With the increasing inquires regarding my services, I thought I'd go a little more in depth in what I do. I provide hands on of course, which is reducing calluses, removing corns, trimming toenails.

Prior to any treatment of the persons feet, there must be complete comprehensive nursing assessment done. Which will include documentation on my part and a signed consent form on your part. Why is foot health so important?

Feet are your body’s foundation, so keeping them healthy is vital to your overall health. Things you can do to keep your feet healthy.

- Clean and inspect your feet daily.
- Wear clean dry socks, change daily.
- Wear proper fitting footwear.
- Keep toenails trimmed.
- If diabetic carefully trim toenails regularly, and maintain a good blood sugar level.
- Moisturizing your feet after a bath or shower.

What is nursing footcare?

Nursing footcare is working at the level of the epidermis, it is non-invasive and should not be uncomfortable/painful. It includes a comprehensive nursing assessment using the nursing process, and following the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. It includes education for the client/family or loved ones regarding proper footcare relating to that client. Referring clients to the appropriate health care professional when needed. Plan of care for the client and follow-up care as well.
