September 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Wadden Physiotherapy and Sport Performance is closed today to observe and honor this important day.

Today, we pause in solemn reflection to honor the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never returned home. We acknowledge that the harm done is lasting, and that reconciliation is a responsibility borne by all of us.

We encourage our community to take time for listening, learning, and action and hope we can all support reconciliation in our own way.

We’re excited to announce that we are now using VALD Performance Technology at Wadden Physiotherapy and Sport Performance!

VALD’s assessment tools are now part of our assessment and treatment plans and will help us deliver more accurate, data-driven care to our patients. It will help us:

- Provide objective strength and range of motion testing
- Provide real-time performance feedback so we can better progress treatment plans and help guide to return to activity, work or sport
- provide more accurate information to other healthcare providers

We are proud to announce that we recently started the Wadden Physiotherapy Scholarship at Riverview High School and Sydney Academy.

We want to support local students looking to pursue a future in the Health Professions and recognize the importance of Health and Wellness.

The inaugural winner from Riverview High School is Marcus Kelly!

He will be starting the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program at Dal in September. Good luck and congratulations Marcus!
