This month, we celebrate the incredible RVTs who are the heart of veterinary care 💜 From assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthesia, running lab work, taking x-rays, providing nursing care, educating pet parents, and offering endless love and comfort for your pets - RVTs do it all!

🧡 September 30th – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

Today is recognized as a day of reflection across Canada, honoring Survivors, their families, and remembering the children who never returned home. It is a time to acknowledge the lasting impact of residential schools and the importance of continued learning and awareness.

Middle Sackville Veterinary Care Centre remains open today for all regular services (8 am to 6 pm), and we stand with our community in taking time for reflection and compassion on this important day.

🐾Staff Pet Saturday! 🐱

Today we are introducing everyone to Garth! 🥰

✨ Nickname(s): Garthy, Handsome boy, Little monster
🎂 Age: 3 years old
🐱🐶 Breed: Domestic short hair cat (a little bit white and a little bit orange all rolled into one)
💗Favorite Things: Napping (specifically in his carrier), eating (he loves his hypoallergenic food), playing with his dog sister, cuddling with his cat sister (no one else), using every door frame in the house like a scratch post (but not the cat tree) 🌴
😆Fun fact: When Garth was just two years old, he broke his leg playing with dad and that made for exciting times for the whole family! Even when cats land on their feet, they don't always land carefully. 😇

🐕We are back with another Staff Pet Saturday 🐾

Today we are introducing a very special senior boy named Bailey 💜

🎂Age: 15 years old
🐶🐱 Breed: Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Mix
💗 Favorite Things: His chicken, walks with the family, the beach, all food (just for one meal though - then it is required that changes be made before eating will commence), photo ops & cuddling with his human sister all day everyday.

Meet Kitten!

✨Nickname: Pretty girl, Beautiful lady
🎂Age: 8 years old
🐶🐱Breed/Species: Calico domestic short hair cat
💗Favorite Things: Snoozing, Snuggling with her fur siblings, Eating and the odd moment of chasing her tail (but only at 430 am - it's more fun at that hour).
Her favorite place to be is in bed, but will venture out for a good spot in the sun☀
😄Fun Fact: Her adopted name was Elspeth, but she became Kitten because Elspeth didn't roll off your tongue when she climbed your leg (as a kitten) 😈
