Please be aware of the following road closures due to the forest fire at West Dalhousie/Long Lake. The mandatory evacuation area has also been expanded.

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURES – ANNAPOLIS COUNTY ⚠️
Due to the ongoing West Dalhousie - Long Lake Wildfire situation, the following roads are closed until further notice:
🚫 West Dalhousie Road – Closed from Morse Road to Trunk 10 (both directions).
🚫 Highway 10 (Trunk 10) – Closed from Crisp Road south to the intersection with West Dalhousie Road (both directions).

➡️ Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Conditions can change quickly due to the fire, and updates will be shared as they become available.

Stay safe and follow all official instructions.

Our clinic is offering this education session for patients of Middleton Collaborative Practice. It will be led by our registered dietitian and a family practice nurse, who will share information and answer your questions about introducing solids to infants using a baby-led feeding approach. This program runs over two sessions, and patients are asked to attend both. Register by calling our office at 902-825-1095 or emailing infomcp@nshealth.ca.

Please welcome two new family medicine resident physicians who joined our practice this week. Dr. Alex Smith is a graduate of Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, and Dr.Jenna Nauss is a graduate of Dalhousie Medicine Halifax. They will train in our practice for the next two years, and they join Dr. Olusegun Odebode who has now entered his second year of residency. We are thrilled to have these three residents as part of our collaborative team and community.

Congratulations to our two graduating resident family doctors - Dr. Luke Burke and Dr. Adebola Ayeni. Dr. Burke will continue working in the Annapolis Valley, including providing some locum coverage in our clinic, and Dr. Ayeni has accepted a position in a primary care clinic in Bedford, NS. It has been such a pleasure having you part of our team at MCP for the past two years. We are proud of you both and wish you all the best in your careers!
