I get it 🫶🏽 We are creatures of habit. And many of us were raised to value our work so much that we eventually (and unknowingly) tie our self-worth to it.

If work goes well — we feel good about ourselves…

If we’re stressed and unable to process our emotions — we focus on work…

If we mess up at work — it feels like the end of the world…

But guess what? You are not your work. You are so much more than that. And you’re meant to experience so much more than just being amazing at your job.

Go out there and create the next version of you that you’ve been craving.

HERE ⬇️

1. Seed Oils

Canola. Soy. Corn. Vegetable oil.

These oxidize easily, increase inflammation, and can disrupt cellular metabolism.
Your thyroid controls metabolic rate. If your cells are inflamed and insulin resistant, you’re not burning efficiently.

I stick to:
• Butter
• Tallow
• Coconut oil
• High-quality olive oil (not heated aggressively)

2. Synthetic Fragrance & Perfume

Most conventional fragrances contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Your thyroid, estrogen, and adrenals are sensitive to environmental toxins.
You cannot balance hormones while bathing in hormone disruptors.

I choose:
• Fragrance-free products
• Some organic essential oils are okay (orange & vanilla are good choices)
• Non-toxic home + beauty swaps

3. Fluorinated Tap Water

Fluoride competes with iodine uptake in the thyroid.

And your thyroid needs iodine to produce T3 and T4 — the hormones responsible for energy, metabolism, and fat burning.

I use:
• A high-quality water filter
• Mineral support
• Strategic iodine from food when appropriate

I’ve never had Botox.
I did cheek filler once about six years ago — and I haven’t touched them since.
I’ve had lip filler twice, both within the same six months, and the last time was about a year and a half ago.

The only peptide I’ve used is copper peptides.
I’ve done two cycles total in the last few years — one cycle each time.
That’s it. Not ongoing. Not stacked with five other things.

And in 2024, I got Forma facials — I did about six treatments over five months.
They support collagen production.
But again, that wasn’t something I’ve been doing for years and years.

None of these clinic procedures or peptides have been consistent long-term.
They’ve been add-ons — not the foundation.

I’ve never done hard drugs.
Even though I’ve been around it a lot in my life, I just never felt the desire to.
And I’ve never been a heavy drinker. I’ve had phases where I drank more than others, but I was never the nightly wine or weekend binge type.

I’ve taken pride in my health since I was young.
That doesn’t mean I don’t eat junk food or sugar — I absolutely do.

But I learned what supports my cells and protects against free radical damage over time.

I’ve also never heavily restricted my calories.
I’ve never gone days without eating.
I didn’t chronically underfuel myself.

My body always had enough fuel to heal, regulate hormones, and bring stress down.

I prioritize sleep — actually getting eight hours.

I go for post-meal walks to stabilize blood sugar.

I focus on movement over intense exercise.
Walking.
Mobility.
Strength training without frying my nervous system.
Not constant HIIT. Not living in cortisol spikes.

I try to manage and mitigate stress.
I don’t let stressful situations drag on for years.

I’ve invested in my hormones.
My gut health.
My metabolic health.

And I focus on skin health from the inside:
High-quality meat.
Grass-fed beef liver.
Oysters.
Gelatin.
Oxtail soup.
Pho.
Collagen peptides on and off.

I use intentional skincare — Korean beauty, non-toxic products, tallow.

And I’m not afraid of the sun.

Your problem isn’t complicated.
You’re skipping the foundations.

Because if you can’t consistently execute the basics — sleep, nourishment, movement, nervous system regulation — no advanced protocol will save you.

It felt like cystic acne was taking over my life…

Makeup can cover blemishes and scars but it can’t cover up huge bumps!

And even worse, I couldn’t forget they were on my face because I could FEEL them!

When your cellular energy systems are under-supported, exercise stops being stimulating and starts being depleting.

Common reasons I see this happen 👇
• Low minerals (especially sodium, magnesium, potassium)
• Poor carb utilization / under-fueling
• Impaired bile flow → poor fat & nutrient absorption
• Low stomach acid → you’re eating “enough” but not absorbing
• Dysregulated nervous system (vagal tone matters more than intensity)
• Circadian rhythm mismatch (late workouts + poor recovery)
• Chronic stress → cortisol stealing energy from repair
• Environmental load (endocrine disruptors, toxins, EMFs)

So your body says: “We don’t have the resources for this.”

More workouts won’t fix that.
More willpower won’t fix that.
And more random supplements definitely won’t fix that.

This is why my clients often lose fat, improve energy, and reduce bloating by doing less, not more — once their metabolism and mitochondria are actually supported.

What this actually means 👇

1. Shallow breathing (chest breathing instead of belly breathing)
When you’re constantly stressed, rushing, or living in go-mode, your breathing shifts up into your chest.
This keeps your nervous system stuck in fight or flight.

And here’s the key part most people miss:
👉 Digestion only works properly in a rested nervous system.

Shallow breathing:
• Reduces blood flow to the gut
• Limits diaphragm movement (which normally massages your organs)
• Slows motility
• Traps pressure → bloating, tightness, distention

So even if you eat “perfectly,” your body may not actually be in a state to digest.

2. Low stomach acid & sluggish bile flow
Stomach acid and bile are not the enemy — they’re essential.

Low stomach acid = food sits too long → ferments → gas & bloating
Sluggish bile = fats don’t break down well → heaviness, pressure, constipation, or loose stools

Stress, under-eating, dieting, hormonal imbalances, and years of pushing your body can all:
• Lower stomach acid
• Thicken bile
• Slow the digestive cascade

This is why cutting foods, going low-FODMAP, or avoiding carbs often doesn’t fix bloating long-term.

The big picture
Bloating isn’t always about what you’re eating.
It’s often about:
• How your nervous system is functioning
• Whether your digestive organs are actually supported to do their job

This is why real gut healing isn’t just a food list — it’s about restoring safety, flow, and proper digestion.
