💫Welcome to the Clinical Team, Jess Dinsmore!💫
Some of you may already have had the pleasure of connecting with Jess. She is no stranger to our team! We’ve been fortunate to have Jess as our Virtual Administrative Assistant for almost a year and a half. She will be joining our clinical team starting May 5, 2025 as our newest Masters level Intern.
Jess is a Yorkville University student completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She offers a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for children (ages 7+), teens, and adults navigating life’s challenges. With a calm, introverted presence and a friendly demeanor, Jess works collaboratively to support clients through a variety of concerns, including ADHD, neurodivergence, anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship or communication difficulties.
Jess is especially passionate about helping teens and young adults as they navigate the complexities of change and personal growth during transitional periods.
.
Jess has a special interest in working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with ADHD. She also supports parents and families navigating neurodiversity and the complexities of parenting neurodivergent children. Her approach is compassionate and affirming, especially for those exploring gender identity, gender roles, struggling with family dynamics, bullying, self-harm, or setting healthy boundaries.
Drawing from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Jess tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. She values connection but deeply understands the importance of personal space and reflection—a balance she brings into her therapeutic work.
