Research tell us that 70-80% of late talkers will catch up to their peers on their own; however, many can continue to have language and literacy difficulties in school. This also means a significant 20-30%will not grow out of the delay without speech therapy. Want to help your child who is a late talker? Hey everyone! 👋 We wanted to take a moment to introduce you to Syeda! We recently had the chance to sit down with Syeda and learn more about her role here, as well as some fun facts about herself.

After seeing the challenges her cousin sister faced with hearing loss, she knew she wanted to help others understand ways of communication. Now, Syeda finds it most rewarding when she sees her clients respond back in terms of gestures, pointing, or vocalization.

When Syeda isn't busy changing lives through speech therapy, she enjoys researching upcoming strategies inspired by ASHA and their research and articles on best practices. She also likes to unwind by baking and gardening.

Getting to know the people behind the scenes is so important to us, and we hope you'll take the time to say hi to Syeda next time you're in the centre. She's truly one of a kind, and we're lucky to have her on our team. 🙌
