Thanksgiving is about connection, not perfection. 🦃✨
These two pages are your calm game plan: choose your favourites, eat a little slower, listen to your body, and wake up Tuesday feeling proud.
• Protein + veg first, then one starch you truly love
• One plate + one dessert (or your version of “one”)
• Short family walk before/after dinner
• Gentle boundary: “It’s delicious. I’m good for now—thank you!”
Save this for the weekend and send it to a friend who needs a little peace around food.

🎃 Halloween Candy Challenge (grace over guilt)
For years I ran a NO CANDY challenge. Not because candy is “bad,” but because I didn’t trust myself. If I had one, I wanted more… and then the all-or-nothing spiral kicked in. Two years ago, I chose something different: I stopped restricting foods and started practicing self-trust. That shift changed everything—yes, physically, but even more so mentally.
So here’s our kinder Halloween Challenge:
If you want Halloween candy, enjoy one every day—on purpose. One mini. One piece. One little moment of joy that you choose mindfully. No guilt. No “I blew it.” Just a small promise kept to yourself.
How we’ll do it—gently:
* Decide your usual time for your one piece (after dinner? with tea?).
* Have it after a protein-forward meal so you’re satisfied going in.
* Open it slowly, taste it fully, let one be enough, and move on.
* The next day, you get to choose again—same calm, same trust.
* Not feeling candy that day? Beautiful. Skip it and carry on. This is about choice, not rules.
Why this works: We’re replacing “never/always” with steady, sane consistency. That builds trust—with food and with ourselves—and the results last far beyond October.
Will you join me?Comment “I’m in” + your go-to candy (Team Mini Reese’s? Coffee Crisp? Mars? 👀). If you’d like a buddy, tag a friend to do it with you. We’ll cheer each other on all month.
We do things differently here—and that difference is where freedom lives. 🧡

I used to see women who had shaped hamstrings and glutes and wished that I looked like that.

I've always been active.

I was a full time dancer from the ages of 8-21
I left dance and took running - I ran 4 marathons, many half marathons and a few 30km races.
At the peak of my group fitness career (teaching classes) I was teaching 8-10 classes a week + I was running.

I've done Orangetheory fitness.
I've had a Peloton.

But what finally changed the shape of my body - meant me doing less.

I started lifting weights 3x a week.
I went from teaching 2 BodyPump Classes to only 1, and I teach a spin class as well.

My current routine: Lifting 3x, 1 BodyPump and 1 Spin class.
And I walk every day.

Just typing that out feels less stressful than all of the other things I did.

I simplified what I did. Started to track what I lifted. Prioritized protein at my meals. Managed my calories and most important part of this formula.......I GOT CONSISTENT AND GAVE IT ENOUGH TIME.

This is what I teach women in my membership. What I teach, I do, what I did, I teach.

We start October 1st and I would love to have you there.

Consistency is the name of the game
But let’s be real — some days it feels easier to stay on top of one thing than the other.

👉 For YOU right now, which feels harder to stay consistent with: your nutrition or your movement?

Cast your vote and let’s see what this community is working through together.

Why most women don’t see results (and how to fix it)

When you start something new, you feel excited, hopeful, and motivated. But within two weeks, that feeling fades — and often, so do your actions.

Here’s the thing:
It’s not that the program doesn’t work.
It’s not that you can’t do it.
It’s that you didn’t give it enough time.

That’s what I’m breaking down in this week’s Midlife Magic Podcast episode:
🎙️ The Missing Ingredient in Your Results: Enough Time

Listen in as I share:
✅ Why excitement isn’t enough to carry you to results
✅ How to reframe your timeline
✅ What to focus on when willpower fades

🎧 Tune in here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2043151/episodes/17879657

And if you’re ready to finally give yourself the time you need, the last Midlife Magic Membership of 2025 runs Oct 1–Dec 31. It’s your chance to give yourself 3 months of consistency to create results that last.

What Women in Midlife Are Really Googling

If you’ve ever found yourself late at night typing things like…

“Why am I gaining weight even though I haven’t changed anything?”
“Is this brain fog normal in my 40s/50s?”
“Best diet for menopause weight gain”
“Why am I so tired all the time?”

…you’re not alone.

These aren’t just random searches — they’re real questions women in midlife are asking every single day. And it’s not about being dramatic — it’s about trying to make sense of what’s happening in our bodies, and wanting to feel like ourselves again.

The truth is, most of what you find on Google doesn’t give you the whole picture. That’s exactly why I created my free Masterclass happening tomorrow:

✨The Midlife Weight Loss Lie: What Diet Culture Never Told You✨
📅 Date: Monday, September 22
⏰ Time: 7:30 PM EST
📍 Online https://marvelous-inventor-8170.kit.com/f6c6bd69c7

In this class, I’ll break down:
✅ Why traditional dieting fails women in midlife
✅ What’s really going on with your hormones, metabolism, and energy
✅ What actually works for sustainable weight loss in your 40s and 50s — without restriction or fads

You don’t have to keep googling and piecing together confusing information. Let me walk you through the real answers.

20 Pounds Down — and Just Getting Started!

Today I want to celebrate one of our Midlife Magic members who has officially lost
20 lbs! She’s the first member in the membership to hit that milestone, and what I love most is that she’ll be the first to tell you… this is only the beginning.

She didn’t get here through fad diets or quick fixes. She did it by showing up, trusting the process, and leaning into the support, systems, and strategies inside our membership.

And here’s the best part: YOU can do this too.

Our next round of the Midlife Magic Membership kicks off October 1st. If you’ve been waiting for the right time, this is it. You’ll finish 2025 stronger, healthier, and more confident than you started.

New episode! 🎧

PJ Glassey (creator of the X Gym) joins me to talk brain hacks, 21-minute strength sessions, and how to actually thrive through perimenopause and menopause — not just survive it.

We cover mindset work that rewires habits, how to experiment with nutrition (no one-size-fits-all), and why community matters.

How I Lost 20 Pounds Without Restriction

For decades, I believed weight loss required giving things up—foods I loved, carbs, sugar—you name it. I also believed I had to spend hours sweating it out in cardio or HIIT classes.

But the truth? Those things didn’t give me long-term results.

In this new episode of the Midlife Magic Podcast, I’m sharing exactly how I lost 20 pounds starting in August 2023—without dieting, without restriction, and without feeling deprived.

👉 I’ll walk you through:

The myths I believed for years

The simple habits I changed

How I now feel stronger and more confident than ever

If you’ve struggled with diets that don’t stick, this episode is for you.

We set the bar high in August: 150 km of walking. None of us hit it—and I’m still calling it a win.
Here’s what it taught me:

Walking changes how I feel—calmer mind, better energy.

I can do more than I realized when I plan with intention.

Even when a goal is out of reach, finishing strong matters.

A high bar grows you more than an easy win.

Proof of capability shifts identity—and identity sustains change.

I recorded a new podcast episode breaking it all down and inviting you to choose a “high-but-healthy” target for September. Listen here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2043151/episodes/17767843

What’s your stretch goal for September?

A little about me......

Here’s a little about me - I am first an foremost a wife, mom to 3 wonderful kids, an entrepreneur and on a a mission to make a difference.

I feel a calling to play out bigger - to play out my vision of a 500 year legacy. I want what I do in this lifetime to still have an impact in this world at LEAST 500 years from now. I don’t need for people to know my name. I just need to know that I made a difference.

Living and Learning Out loud is me showing up perfectly imperfect. Vulnerable. Taking what I’m learning and bringing it to you. In the hopes that we can learn and grow together.

so, thanks for being here with me and I hope you can come on this ride with me!
