You don't need to worry about not getting enough calcium if you are not drinking milk. People don't always do well with dairy so what are our alternatives? There are lots of foods and dairy alternatives that are fortified with calcium. Also, consuming foods such as almonds, dark leafy green vegetables, sesame seeds, and tofu can be a good source of calcium.

When we live in a constant state of stress and busy schedules, we often forget to take the time to eat meals in a calm and peaceful manner. Our nervous systems play a large role in digestion - if we're in a state of fight or flight, our digestive tracts don't get the time to prepare for the food to enter our bodies. This can make it difficult for the body to digest the foods properly, resulting in bloating, nausea, discomfort, tiredness and even constipation for many people. Taking the time to eat mindfully alleviates a lot of the pressure on the digestive tract because our enzymes and digestive juices have the chance to flow! Next time, focus on smelling your food, focus on the flavours, avoid multitasking while eating, and best of all, enjoy your meals with people that you love!

High fiber foods include: - beans, legumes [lentils, chickpeas], complex grains [quinoa, brown rice, buckwheat], sweet potatoes & other potatoes, nuts, seeds, leafy green vegetables [spinach, swiss chard, collards, kale]

Other fibres include psyllium husk which has 4 grams of fiber per teaspoon!
An ounce of chia seeds has 11 grams of fiber.
Tip: when you're looking at the nutrition label on your foods, always check to see how much fiber you're getting! Things like cereal and bran do contain some fiber.
