This free six-week course is designed to provide family and informal caregivers with practical tools to better care for themselves while caring for others. Participants will learn strategies to manage stress, improve communication, and navigate difficult emotions and decisions with greater confidence.

Dates: September 3 – October 8
Time: Wednesday evenings, 6:00–7:30 PM
Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: Free of charge
Ideal for: Anyone providing care for an older adult in the community (family, friend, neighbor etc.)

MDSS

Services to Seniors programs are community based programs (grant funded by Prairie Mountain Health) for seniors that support health and well being and provides support and assistance for seniors and individuals living with disabilities to maintain their independence in the community.

A wide range of support services are developed such as meal programs, equipment rental, volunteer opportunities, grocery shopping, transportation, friendly visiting, foot care, Lifeline services, es**rt to appointments, counseling, ERIK, filling out forms, support groups, socialization, advocacy, assistance with errands, snow removal and home maintenance.

Our office is located in the 50+ center in Minnedosa at 31 Main Street South or call our Resource Coordinators, Alyse Richards and Jody Boyd, at 204-867-5190, and book a home visit.
