Jardine Funeral Home is seeking to fill a part-time, position for Funeral Support Staff and Administrative Assistant.
Skills and qualities often required for this role:
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office etc.)
Time management skills
Able to work well with little supervision
Attention to detail
The successful candidate will work with our funeral service team, under the supervision of a licensed funeral director, both in the funeral home and at remote locations, in the provision of services to our client families.
Responsibilities will include assisting with visitations, funeral services, interments, both at Churches and Cemeteries. You will assist in the set-up and conducting of these events, greet visitors, and guide participants as required, including working closely with bereaved families. In addition, the role will include light cleaning and driving and cleaning company vehicles.
This is an on-call position that requires holidays,evening and weekend shifts.
Requirements for the position are a mature and professional manner and appearance, and a demonstrable ability to serve the public with both discretion and compassion. The successful candidate will possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. We appreciate all who applies, only those who are selected for an interview will be contacted.
