About the space:
• Available all day & evening Monday, Thursday and Friday; until 3 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday
• $400/month (taxes included) plus a small portion of utilities
• 2-year sublease
• New build (moving in this summer)

As a therapist who works in the area of trauma, I love to draw on the different parts of a person, especially the inner child. As we grow, experience, and age; we evolve. But the past shapes our lives and creates the story of who we are. My inner child was shy, observant and full of imagination.

In some ways I’ve changed, in others I’m the exact same. But it’s seems, I was always meant to sit in the therapist chair 🌻

Now offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) 🌻

This is a specialized type of psychotherapy that helps the brain to reprocess upsetting and/or traumatic memories.

Through re-processing, intense emotions, sensations, and memories are processed and appropriately stored away.

EMDR aims to identify how the memory or life experience has made us feel about ourselves, looking at both negative and positive beliefs.

EMDR can be used for the following:
• Anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias
• Chronic Illness, chronic pain, and medical issues
• Depression
• Dissociative disorders
• Grief & Loss

The start of this New Year marks 1 year in full-time private practice at Morehouse Counselling. 2 years ago, I started my solo private practice on a part-time basis as I finished my Master’s degree and navigated the next steps in my career.

I’m writing now, with a full practice, filled with gratitude. I have learned so much in the past year, about myself, private practice, and most importantly, the incredible impacts of therapy. This year will bring even more, as changes come to the practice, including offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) (stay tuned for more!)

Its been the greatest pleasure to be a therapist and work with each of my clients. I feel lucky to say I love what I do. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journeys.
