Announcement:

Dear patients, collaborators, and community
It has been our great privilege to have worked with you all over the last five years. We have seen great promise with the people in our community and it has been a wonderful experience to receive the support we have in doing the type of work that we do. Our goal has always been to provide the best and most holistic care possible and we hope that is the impression we are leaving in the community. Though our journey as a clinic has come to an end, the work is not over. It is our hope that any impact we have had can grow on its own and with the support of continuing members of the community. We are heartbroken to be closing our doors but if there is a final message we can leave, it is that the door is never closed on recovery.

No case is the same – people living with substance use disorder all struggle in different ways and require various forms of care for a successful outcome. In-Phase Care Clinic in Mission believes in offering comprehensive addictions services on the same visit providing both medical and counselling service in the same location, a one-stop shop, with no lengthy referrals required.

To a great detriment to our community, the clinic is being forced to shut down. BC doesn’t recognize addictions medicine as a separate subspecialty within family practice, and largely prevents dedicated MSP coverage for addiction services. As such, long term longitudinal addiction care clinics go unsupported and costly services remain out of reach for people living with addiction who desperately need it.

More investments are needed to make universal care for substance use disorder accessible when they need it, how they need it. It’s time to bring our loved ones home free from addiction.

Happy Monday!

For those of you who are not aware, we have moved!

We are finally settling into our new space and we are loving it. To celebrate we had an open house last week and it was a great success! If you were unable to make it, here are some photos :)
