The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre announced that they received final approval from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for the formal merger of the two hospitals on November 30th, with December 1st, 2011 being the first day of operation as a new organization. The new organization – which will be known as ‘The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre’ until a new name is chosen – will be the largest community-based academic health network in Ontario.
