As the old saying goes: "Take care of your heart and your health is sure to follow."
A healthy heart is essential for maintaining an optimal life. We have some tips for getting you on the path to a healthier lifestyle.
Don't smoke: ci******es are associated with a number of health issues including heart disease. If you must, try to keep your consumption down to one or two ci******es per day.
Cut back on alcohol: drinking too much is known to increase a person's risk for certain types of cancers and heart disease. Limit yourself to two drinks per day if you're a man; one if you're a woman.
Eat healthy: a diet high in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins is associated with better health outcomes.
Limit sugary foods to once or twice per week, and drink plenty of water instead of sweetened drinks.
Take care of yourself: get enough sleep and exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes a day!
