From 2016 to 2020, Queensway Optometric Centre grew and evolved while continuing to deliver the family-focused care our patients know and love.

During these years, our team expanded—combining the experience of longtime staff like Rory and Terri with the fresh perspectives of new graduates. We celebrated major milestones, including Dr. Patrick Tracey’s semi-retirement in 2017 after 50 years of service and Dr. Peter Martinello’s retirement in 2019. Dr. Karen Stafford joined as a partner, seamlessly continuing our tradition of compassionate care.

We also welcomed Dr. Mehtab Mann, whose kindness and expertise made an immediate impact. After a brief move to the U.S., we were delighted to have her return in 2024. Around the same time, Dr. Lawrence Chan joined our team—bringing calm confidence and advanced knowledge in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, our office paused regular operations and provided only emergency care. With Dr. Lawrence’s support, we adapted quickly, reopening safely in June 2020. Thanks to your patience and trust, we emerged stronger than ever.
