FEW BENEFITS OF YOGA

Yoga is an ancient practice that has proven to be an effective way to enhance our overall physical, mental and emotional health. It is also effective in relieving pain in common areas, such as neck, shoulders, back and knees.
Practicing yoga strengthens muscles, improves tone, and enables the body recover quicker from physical ailments and mental health issues. Yoga also promotes health in other areas of our lives, such as increasing blood flow, boosting immunity, lowering blood pressure, losing weight, increasing flexibility, boosting metabolism, improving energy level, and enhancing focus/concentration. As a result, we feel good about ourselves and perform better on all stages of our lives. When it comes to our health, we must incorporate healthy habits, and yoga is the perfect way to do so!

Few benefits of Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice that has proven to be an effective way to enhance our overall physical and mental and emotional health. It is also effective in relieving pain in common areas, such as neck, shoulders, back and knees.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Khurum Aziz Pervaiz

I am a dedicated individual with a strong passion for continuous learning. I firmly believe that education should be an ongoing journey without any limits. Driven by my insatiable quest for knowledge, I consistently seek opportunities to enhance my skills and expand my horizons. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have actively pursued various study programs, seminars, and workshops to keep myself up-to-date with the latest developments in my field.

Some of my other achievements and advanced trainings are as follows:

1997: DynaMIND Course, Toronto, Canada. Intensive course to cultivate and enhance mental power to a higher level by going into a deeper state of meditation (Alpha State) and learn unique mental skills for emotional IQ, mind, body healing, intuition, creativity and confidence. Highlights of the training as below,
• Practicing the technique of mental scanning to diagnose ailments in the physical body.
• Gaining access to energy healing, in person or virtual at any distance.
• Practicing the use of mental screen for a higher level of visualization and creativity.
• Mental training to remain in a state of mindfulness in any given situation.

1998-2005: Graduation from Canada Dahn Holistic Centre. Mississauga, Canada.
Korean Style of Yoga under the title “New Human School” comprising of 4 levels of intensive physical and mental training program based upon meridian stretching for energy circulation, meditation, and non-combative modified form of Korean Martial Art known as “Qi Gong” Highlights of the training as below,
• Learning and practicing to activate the flow of energy through the meridians of the body.
• Practicing to stay in Yoga postures for longer period of time to release the stagnant energy from muscles, tendons and joints.
• Learning and practicing “Qi Gong” which comprises of various sets of meditative, rhythmic, energy-based movements designed especially for physical and mental tune-up and for overall wellness. These meditative movements affect the practitioner on physical, mental, and spiritual level.
• Learning and practicing Energy Healing of mind, body & spirit in order to enhance physical, mental and spiritual health in all stages of life.
• Attending specially designed workshops to overcome fears. Psychologically, coming out of the effects of mishaps and traumas of the past, getting rid of the negative thought process thus paving the way to self-discovery and life transformation.

2004: Attacking Anxiety & Depression: Attending and receiving training through a self-awareness program for Stress, Anxiety & Depression by Lucinda Bassett, USA.

2005: Learning and practicing Tai Chi, Mississauga, Canada A non-combative, modified form of Chinese Martial Art which is a set of meditative, rhythmic, energy based slow movements designed for physical & mental tune-up and for the enhancement of overall wellness in all stages of life.

2005: Reiki method of Natural Healing, Brampton, Canada. An ancient healing art which accelerates natural healing process by removing the negative energy blockages and addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels of the self.

2005-2006: Ashtanga Yoga training program, Brampton, Canada.

2007-2010: Teaching Hatha Yoga - Teacher-level Yoga Program of study and training, Graduated with high Honours from Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technology, Oakville, Canada.

2009: K-8 Yoga Education, Tools for Yoga Teacher, Mississauga, Canada. Personal Development Training for Yoga teachers, how to teach yoga to Grade 8 School Kids.

2011: Landmark Form course for personal and professional development, Toronto, Canada.

2011: Landmark Advanced course for personal and professional development, Toronto, Canada.

2020: Inner Engineering: Attending and receiving training through the famous program “Inner Engineering” by Sadhguru, USA.

2024: Yoga Challenge Program / Heal Yourself Program, India. Nine steps to reverse lifestyle diseases naturally without the use of pills.

In addition to appearing in Peel Adult Education Centre Mississauga, I have made presentations in several Community Centers of Mississauga. Few of the topics are as below,

• Healthy life style: Living closer to nature.

• Natural wholesome Foods: Awareness of healthy foods & proper cooking method.

• Acidic Foods vs Alkaline Foods: How to maintain a balance.

• Proper Exercise: Benefits of Yoga breathing and meditation. Practicing Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi-Gong based stretching exercises for physical, mental & spiritual wellness.

• Proper mental attitude: Getting out of negativity, living in the present moment and keeping a positive approach.

• Ability of water to respond to human emotions.

Some of the many great personalities, who have inspired me along this path to self-discovery and self-exploration, are Anthony Robins, Wayne Dyer, Lucinda Bassett, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Baba Ram Dev and Sadhguru.

OUR EXERCISE SESSIONS

Our exercise sessions are extremely beneficial to enhance overall physical, mental and emotional wellness. Mental benefits include calmness, serenity, mindfulness, focus and concentration. Similarly, a physical body free of pain, ach, stiff joints and muscles with increased flexibility is an obvious result of these sessions.

These sessions are offered in-person and on Zoom, both for individuals and groups via a 3 month's membership.
These sessions are generally a combination of the following:
1. Yoga based stretching and exercises
2. Yoga based breathing techniques
3. Qi Gong based stretching and exercises
4. Tai Chi based stretching and exercises
5. A wide variety of meditations promoting imagination, visualization, creativity and mindfulness
