Is your golf game hurting your body more than your handicap? 🏌️♂️📉
That’s me trying to keep my own swing in check!
➡️ As much as I love being out there, I know firsthand that swinging a club 70–100 times and chasing a ball for 3–6 miles is a massive physical demand.
We often focus on the scorecard, but we can’t forget about the “torque” we’re putting on our knees or that “pinch” in the lead shoulder.
The most common culprits I see in the clinic (and on the course):
📍 The Elbow: Overuse from a grip that’s just a bit too firm.
📍 The Back: Intense stress from repetitive, high-speed rotation.
📍 The Shoulder: Tendon irritation that creeps up during the upswing.
The good news? You don’t have to hang up the clubs. Most of these issues come down to conditioning and mechanics.
A simple 10-minute warm-up walk and some targeted wrist and calf mobility (like the ones in this post!) can keep you in the game all season long.
