Ms Brown's background includes extensive studies at OISE. She holds a Masters equivalent degree in Guidance Psychology and, in addition, is a graduate of the five year, clinical psychotherapy program at The Gestalt Institute of Toronto. She has 30 years experience as an educator and counselor in the Peel region. Ms Brown has led "Talk Shops" (process-oriented awareness therapy groups) with all ages for the past 20 years including programs for the Canadian Mental Health Association, Wellspring, the Peel District School system and the Mississauga community. Currently she leads "Talk Shop for Women" and "Talk Shop for People Living with Cancer" year round, and provides individual and couples therapy as well. She has particular expertise working with youth and the many challenges they face. Ms Brown has a strong belief that therapeutic assistance be accessible to people in need and so offers excellent hourly rates.
